Mini Company Workshop!

Heya to all my readers. Hope you all are having a brilliant day.
All TY's went to Westgrove Hotel in Clane to have a talk about our mini company ideas and how to have them innovative. 

Serina, the woman who gave us the talk, has given us points and structures on how to have our idea creative and appealing for customers to buy. Serina has showed us a powerpoint to explain all this information, and also showed us past company's and ideas. She has influenced us mostly on the fact that we can make ideas innovative and creative. 

Afterwards, Serina had given us all a paper clip and pen to create something out of these stationary's. We then had to present our ideas infront of everyone with a group you decided to be with. It was a worthwhile experience to get creative!

Carlingford!

Hello people!! Here are the amazing details about Carlingford!!

On the 17th & 18th of September all TY's went to Carlingford in Co. Louth. 

The bus ride was over an hour long, but it was worth it. We experienced so many new things as it was more of a bonding trip than anything else. There were 2 groups for the whole trip to go to different activities at the same time. We have done activities such as water sports and adventure sports. 

Water sports such as canoeing, pier jumping, & water trampolining were done. Adventure sports were done such as challenge island which consisted of mini-games to be completed in under a certain time to win gems, night line, and the most fun of all...ziplining, my favourite!! 

I loved this experience so much as I feel I got closer with many people. During the night, we were allowed to visit its village and go to shops to get some food and sweets. During the day, we had 3 main courses and the food was fantastic and fulfilling. It wasn't the healthiest, but it was the greatest.

Retreat!

Hey guys! Welcome back. Hope you all are having a great day <3

On the 16th of September we had our TY retreat in Celbridge Manor. It was good craic as the few people coming to talk to us told us to never treat them as a teacher or anything like that. They made us feel comfortable and it was worth the while as we played many activities, and if lost, to be humiliated for just for the laugh. We had also done meditating which calmed us down and got us relaxed.

I loved this experience, and so did the rest of the students that have been to this retreat.
In the next blog I will be discussing about Carlingford! I'm very excited and hope you all are too.

Transition Year!

Hey guys! Welcome to my blog! Here is a little information about my first day in TY;

The first day to when I came in TY we were all put in separate classes called Lagarde and Merkel. Lagarde is the class that I have been set to be in for the year. ‘Lagarde’ comes from Christine Lagarde. She is a French lawyer and a managing director of the International Monetary Fund. Merkel comes from Angela Merkel who is a German politician and the Chancellor of Germany.  

On Wednesday 9th of September, we had gotten our Junior Certificate results. We were told to come in school at 12pm to collect our results and to go home afterwards and celebrate. Most of us were really happy with our results and I certainly was too. 

I will be talking about the retreat we will be having in the next blog, so stay tuned!!
